What Are the Die Casting Process Planning Strategies?
Die Casting Process Planning
1. Parting Surface Selection: Prioritize appearance integrity, smooth demolding, and efficient venting while minimizing slider core pulling.
2. Gating and Venting System Design: Determine inner gate position and thickness, runners, sprue, overflow wells, venting slots, and optional vacuum venting.
3. Core Pulling Mechanism Planning: Select solutions such as sliders, angled guide pins, hydraulic cylinders, or threaded core pulling, and determine the pulling distance and locking structure.
4. Cooling System Layout: Densify cooling channels in hot spots, thick walls, ribs, and gate areas, utilizing straight-through, baffle, or fountain cooling methods.
5. Ejection System Design: Layout ejector pins, blade ejectors, sleeve ejectors, stripper plates, return pins, and limit stops to prevent stress marks and deformation during ejection.
6. Mould Base Configuration: Determine mould base specifications, clamping dimensions, locating ring, nozzle mating, guide posts and bushings, and guiding and positioning structures.
